I took a grim trip down to Kensal Green cemetery today for the next stop on my tour around unusual London. I have been to Kensal Green a few times but was never aware of the expanse of the amazing funerary architecture that lays behind the wall along Harrow road. It was a photographers paradise, I used a whole reel of film down there. I can definitely see my photos turning into some kind of huge collage. The cemetery was very atmospheric, dark, dank, mossy, peaceful and then there are these huge gasometers that rise from behind the canal. Well worth a visit!
