I visited the Russian film poster exhibition that's on at GRAD today. It was small but it was so inspiring! I loved getting up close to the prints and trying to dissect how they'd been made. A lot of them dated from the 1920s and 30s but the graphic design looked way ahead of its time. And the vibrant colours were obviously inspiring to many silk screen artists. The curation of the posters interspersed with projections of films was very clever. It contextualised the posters right away and emphasised the innovative graphic design style even more.
