A couple of pieces of editorial illustration based around travel...

Eiko Ojala - The inclusion of the river is a great tool in this composition as it guides your eye round the image so your eye sees every detail. I lie how there is minimal text and so most of the focus is on the image itself. It is also interesting to see how a more hand made process like paper cut outs is just as suitable for editorial illustration as just a drawn image.

Rui Ricardo - I'm not really a fan of vector based illustration but I thought this take on vintage posters was quite interesting. Here Ricardo uses a limmited colour palette to convey a sense of the heat and subdued atmosphere that surrounds these South East Asian locations.
