The focus of my dissertation is how the attention of the Western world has changed the way in which tribal objects are viewed, produced and used today. The inspiration for this came from watching the BBC David Attenborough series 'The Tribal Eye'. Researching for my dissertation has deepened my interest in the subject and so I though it would be useful to link my summer project to this theme in some way. The video is one of the most interesting episodes of the series. It centres around the Dogon tribe of Mali.
